「馬面機甲」靈感來自信仰中的「馬面將軍」或「馬將軍」，與牛頭為一組，同為任職於地府的部將。平時常見的馬將軍神將有「人面」與「馬面」兩種形式，為了與其他機甲做出區隔，這邊也採取馬面的形式。武器上常見狼牙棒、斧等等，也有持刀的造型出現。本作品特別致敬南投指南宮的城隍爺駕前馬將軍，其行走時跳躍的模樣非常吸引人！
Mech"Horse face"refers to General Horse, a god whom serve in the underground world. General Horse's weapon usually came with mace, axe or even knife. There are two types of General Horse in Taiwanese belief, one is with human face, the other one is with horse head.
